We love frozen yogurt on Mondays, Tuesday, anytime during the day, for lunch, after lunch, instead of dinner, in addition to dinner and pretty much on any holiday. Froyo is excellent and celebratory froyo? Oh, that is just supreme.

That’s pretty much why we are coming to you now, because we understand that in love, you have to meet people halfway. And if that means showing up to your birthday party, bat mitzah, or office gathering, by golly we are going to do it….with different colored spoons  in tow.

We even asked our friends over at A Boxed Event for some Fuzzy Peach Party Planning tips. Because, the thought of having your own personal Fuzzy Peach at your party is awesome, dare we say, overwhelmingly so and it might do us all some good to have a few pointers.

A Few Peachy Party Tips (A Boxed Event Style):

-Have your bartender use your fav fuzzy peach frozen yogurt flavor or sorbet to create your specialty drink….call it The Fuzzy Peach or Peach fuzz -lite liquor with yogurt , your share of toppings all blended….YUM!

-Give guests a gift that they’ll love and their stomachs will appreciate-of course packing it on the spot at the event would be fab but give them “A Morning After” Delight-Custom gift certificates or cards for their fav yogurt or yours

Oh, we are so excited to see you, all dressed up for your special occasion, celebrating and possibly even dancing. Maybe we’ll even dance, while we serve up cups of yum delightfulness to your guests. We can’t wait!

Got any Peachy Party tips for us? We’d love to hear!

Well, what is it? This fall we were brainstorming ways to make Fuzzy Peach even better and we thought “our toppings bar is the bee’s knees but what about the bottom of the cup?”. So we invented some love for the bottom of your cup.

We called our friends at Coastal Cupcakes and asked if they couldhelp us out. They thought up the idea of baking brownie and cake bottoms to create the perfect Fuzzy Peach Sundae. If that wasn’t yummy enough, we decided to add a microwave so you could warm up the brownie or cake before adding your froyo to create that perfect hot-and-cold combo!

In addition to the contributions fromour friends at Coastal Cupcakes, our customers had been asking for a waffle bowl. Ask and you shall receive. We have started baking our waffle bowls fresh daily right in the store.

The best part about the whole thing? There’s no additional cost! Try our bottoms bar at Racine and let us know what you think!

It’s almost the New Year and what does that mean?

Another year of birthdays, weddings, celebrations, office functions and holidays.

Another year to find reasons to celebrate.

We love the holidays here at Fuzzy Peach. I mean how could we not, what with all the festive yogurt this month?

To bring us all some holiday cheer, a little story:

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the Fuzzy Peach
Not a creature was stirring, especially not a mouse.
The cups were stacked by the yogurt with care,
In hopes that all the guests soon would be there.
The toppings were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of freshly cut fruit danced in their heads.

We love to see what is in your cup when you come through the line. Do you prefer skittles, is that graham crackers to go along with your tart? Or are you a fresh fruit person or strictly chocolate?

We asked Megan Everette, Miss. Greater Wilmington and a junior Elementary Education major at UNCW to talk to us about her platform and give us a tour of what is in her Fuzzy Peach cup.

Peach Pack: What is your platform?

Megan: Advocating Healthier Lifestyles for Children. Childhood obesity is seen in one in three children. As a future educator this concerns me and so instead of making this a negative move, I decided to put a positive spin on the issue and have been involved in planting various vegetable gardens for children in Wilmington. I have spoken in numerous schools to children about maintaining a healthy lifestyle as well as written to our First Lady Michelle Obama. I actually received a letter back from the White House this summer just after I competed at Miss. North Carolina. The First Lady sends her congratulations to the Port City on a job well done on making strides to be a fit community. Children are our future and we need to be sure to set them up for success. I believe wedo this by modeling healthy lifestyles ourselves.

Peach Pack: Tell us some more about healthy living.

Megan: When a child is eating correctly and getting the accurate amount of sleep and exercise, the will feel better and perform better in the classroom, in the dance studio, on the soccer field and in the chorus. I would like to pursue a career in education within the inner cities. I have seen first hand that these children do not have access to the proper nutrition or extra curricular activities that other kids do. I feel called to ensure that these children also have every opportunity for a healthy life.

Peach Pack: How do you live a healthy lifestyle?

Megan: I will be the first to tell the children that it is not about the number on the scale, it is about how they feel about themselves. I use that same theory in my own life. I believe everything in moderation, I enjoy my ice cream and pizza I just try to make sure I had some veggies that day and went to the gym. We are only provided with one body and I feel it is our responsibility to be a good steward of it.

Peach Pack: What goes in your cup of Fuzzy Peach?

Megan: It really depends on the kind of day I am having. Most of the time it is vanilla with strawberries, pineapples and almonds. Other days it is the flavor of the month with oreos, crushed ice cream cones and cookie dough!

Well, it is safe to say that we are quite the fans of Miss Wilmington here at Fuzzy Peach! We love seeing her around the store and we love seeing what combinations are keeping her sweet tooth satisfied and healthy lifestyle in check.
